Man wanted in Poland faces UK court

A man wanted by Polish authorities in relation to a string of offences has appeared in a UK court.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service Extradition Unit arrested Janusz Kedziora, 28, at an address in Staffa Road, Lea Bridge in Waltham Forest, north east London, on a European Arrest Warrant on Thursday.

Scotland Yard said he is wanted by Polish authorities in relation to actual bodily harm (ABH), criminal damage, robbery, attempted robbery and burglary.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court again on March 12, police said.

This follows an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a number of people wanted on European Arrest Warrants.

The operation is codenamed Operation Sunfire 4.
