Two men have been charged with murdering a woman who was stabbed to death in her own home, including her husband, police said.
Scotland Yard said that Mohamed Ali, 64, of George Carver House, Station Road, Forest Gate, east London, had been charged with the murder of Amina Bibi, 43, of the same address.
Frederick Best, 46, of Kebble Terrace, Forest Gate, was charged with the same offence. Both will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Reports said the mother of two was found by her 11-year-old son shortly before 9am last Friday when he returned home to pick up a folder he had forgotten to take to school.
According to London's Evening Standard newspaper, the boy went to a neighbour's house, screaming: "Help my mum. Help my mum." They went back and found her lying face down in a pool of blood.
The other child is a five-year-old boy, the newspaper said.
A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
