Monarch gets to grips with her Easter bonnet
The sun had his hat on - but the Queen almost lost hers as she battled the elements to get to her Easter Sunday service.
Despite the sunshine the first hints of Storm Katie were in the air as the monarch headed to St George's Chapel in Windsor.
A strong gust almost saw her bright yellow hat adorned with a blue floral ensemble float off.
But the monarch quickly grabbed the wide brim and held on to her hat.
A host of royals attended, including the Duke of Edinburgh.
Noticable by her absence was the Duchess of Cambridge, who also opted not to attend the Irish Guards St Patrick's Day shamrock ceremony earlier this month.
She had decided to put her children - two-year-old Prince George and 10-month-old Charlotte - ahead of the 114-year-old tradition.
Husband William also missed the ceremony, as he is in Kenya for ex-girlfriend Jecca Craig's wedding.
