Nationwide customers latest to be hit by glitch
Millions of Nationwide customers have seen their transactions affected by an apparent technical problem — just one month after a recent wide-ranging banking crisis.

The news comes after a computer meltdown at RBS on June 19 meant tens of thousands of Ulster Bank customers were left without access to their cash for a month after balances weren't updated.
Details of a compensation package for those who suffered as a result of the crisis — due last week — still haven’t been made public by Ulster Bank.
In the aftermath of the most recent bank systems blunder, Nationwide confirmed an IT “issue” caused debit payments made this week to be taken twice.
