Police are appealing for information to help find two missing 12-year-old girls.
Jasmine Thornber, from Blackburn, and Michaela Wotherspoon, from Darwen, left their homes on Sunday afternoon to meet each other but did not return as expected.
Sergeant Kevin Jones, of Lancashire Police, said: “Jasmine and Michaela are vulnerable given their young ages and so we are doing everything we can to find them.
“It may be that they have stayed at a friend’s house who might not know that they are missing. The parents of these girls are extremely anxious to be reunited with their daughters.
“If you have seen them or know where they are, please contact the police immediately.”
The pair are believed to be in the Galligreaves area of Blackburn.
