Police at scene of reported disturbance in Edinburgh

Police have been called to Edinburgh’s West End after reports of a disturbance.

Officers were called to Chester Street at around 8pm on Wednesday.

Posts on social media show the area has been sealed off.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh are responding to a report of a disturbance in Chester Street at around 8pm on Wednesday.

“Emergency services remain on the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”
