Police hunt two over man's murder

Police are looking for two men in connection with the murder of a businessman who died after a fire was started in his premises at an old railway goods yard.

David Twigg, 46, and his partner Julie Dixon were confronted by two men at the site of the business in Station Yard, Burgh Le Marsh, Lincolnshire, on Sunday evening, a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said.

A fire was started inside the building while Mr Twigg was inside and it is believed he died as a result of smoke inhalation. His body was found at around 7pm that evening.

Ms Dixon escaped the fire without serious injury.

The spokesman said: "Information is being sought from the public about the two men, who were white, wearing dark clothing with their faces obscured. One was approximately 6ft tall and the other approximately 5ft 7in tall."

Anyone with any information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
