Post mortem after 'shooting' death

A post-mortem examination will be held today following the apparent shooting of a man on New Year's Day.

A cordon remains in place at First Drove in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, following the man's death shortly after 2am.

Cambridgeshire Police said Home Office pathologist Dr Nat Cary would examine the body at Addenbrooke's Hospital this afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector Jason Gordon said: "We continue to treat this as an isolated incident and are still keen to hear from anyone who has any information about this man's death.

"Specialist officers are providing support for the family at this difficult time and it is vital we trace whoever is responsible."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
