A complaint against Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine over comments about "man flu" has been dismissed, the BBC said.
Vine was reported under the broadcaster's "equality and diversity" code by an offended listener after joking to a guest on his show that he had "man flu".
During a segment on his show on Monday, the 50-year-old commented to Dr Sarah Jarvis about his "ailment" while talking about whooping cough.
Vine, who appeared on this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, asked the doctor about a persistent cough he had developed, but his terminology was not to the liking of one listener.
A BBC spokesman said: "Jeremy was clearly making fun of himself."
