Prince William to meet Angela Merkel in Germany visit
The Duke of Cambridge is to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel when he travels to Dusseldorf to honour British forces in Germany.
It will be the first time the future king has met Mrs Merkel, Kensington Palace said.
William, who spent more than seven years in the military, will mark the 70th anniversary of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which was created by the British military government in 1946 after World War Two.
The 34-year-old will head to Germany on August 23 to watch a British Forces Germany military parade, before attending an anniversary gala with Chancellor Merkel, where the prince will give a speech.
