Prisoner missing from open jail arrested in Glasgow

Police issued an appeal after Sean Bonar failed to return to HMP Castle Huntly, near Dundee.

A prisoner who absconded from an open jail has been traced by police.

Sean Bonar failed to return to HMP Castle Huntly, near Dundee, this week after being released on licence for home leave.

Police Scotland, who had issued an appeal for information, said the 29-year-old was found in Glasgow and has been arrested.

In a statement, the force said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
