Teenager, 14, shot in both knees
Detectives have made a public appeal for information on YouTube after a 14-year-old boy was shot in both knees.
The unnamed teenager is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following the shooting in Challener Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, at around 8.30pm last night.
No motive has been found for the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Mears, of Thames Valley Police, appealed on YouTube for information to help their inquiry.
She said: "We are currently gathering evidence and following a number of lines of inquiry. No motive has been established yet.
"The boy sustained injuries to both his knees. We believe that these injuries were caused by a shotgun.
"Information from members of the local community will be very important in finding out who did this."
Chief Inspector Colin Seaton, deputy area commander, said: "This type of crime is rare in Wycombe and we are doing all that we can to ensure we catch whoever is responsible.
"There is a dedicated team of officers working on the case and the neighbourhood policing team will be patrolling the area to speak to anyone who might have concerns.
"We will be working relentlessly and will keep the community updated as the investigation progresses."
