Tory deal announcement with DUP postponed in wake of London fire - reports

DUP sources have said the announcement of any deal between the party and the Conservatives for it to work a minority government has been postponed due to the London tower block fire.

The Guardian reports, however, that the deal is 95% agreed and that sources within the Northern Ireland party are dismissing a suggestion the final announcement on the deal could be made next week.

The DUP found itself as kingmakers following the shock general election result which saw Theresa May's party lose its overall majority in the House of Commons.

Arlene Foster flew out to London on Monday to hold talks in Downing Street with the Prime Minister.

A devastating fire broke out in west London in the early hours of Wednesday morning resulting in multiple deaths and scores injured.
