Two men die after car hits tree

Two men have died after the car they were in hit a tree then burst into flames.

Officers were called to the A4130 near Bix, Oxfordshire, shortly after 4am on Saturday after a blue Toyota Celica travelling towards Oxford left the road and hit the tree.

The car caught alight and the two occupants of the car were killed.

Sergeant Jack Hawkins, of the Thames Valley Police road death investigation team based at Bicester, said: "The identities of the two occupants of the vehicle are not known at this time, but it is believed to be two men."

He appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact police.
