Two teenagers in hospital after ‘shooting’

West Midlands Police say their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital after reports of a shooting.

West Midlands Police were called to reports of a man being shot at about 10.20pm on Monday.

The force said in a statement that two 17-year-olds “were taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening”.

A detailed forensic search is now under way.

The scene in Manor Road in the Aston area of Birmingham, as well as nearby Witton Road and the local railway station, all remain sealed off as investigations continue.
