'Vulnerable' girls found in Essex

Two vulnerable girls who went missing from a mental health hospital have been found, police said.

Sophie McCarron, 14, from Folkestone, Kent, and 16-year-old Eva Sloka, from Westcliffe in Southend, Essex, were both voluntary patients of The Priory Hospital in Ticehurst, East Sussex.

Sussex Police appealed for information about their whereabouts after they went missing together on October 26.

A police spokeswoman said they have now been located in Essex.
