William gets wistful feeling after spotting air ambulance

By Eleanor Barlow

The Duke of Cambridge said he felt "nostalgic" after seeing an air ambulance parked at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool as he toured its new Urgent Care and Trauma Centre.

Speaking to A&E volunteer John Geddes he said: "I looked longingly at the helicopter there. It's nice to see the air ambulance, I feel very nostalgic about it."

The new unit opened in January after a £35m redevelopment and includes a charity-funded air ambulance helicopter landing pad.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry chatted with schoolchildren at a conservation project during a visit to the Chatham Green Project at the Wilderness Foundation in Essex.
