Union wants boycott of any new tap tax

Northern Ireland public sector union NIPSA has called for street protests and a boycott of water charges by householders here.

Speaking at the union’s annual conference in Newcastle, General Secretary Brian Campfield said: “NIPSA members took to the streets in their thousands along with other trade union affiliates and the community to oppose separate charges and we are prepared to take to the streets again and face this down.”
