Bristol City just took their weird goal celebration gifs up a notch
The players have now got props…
If you’re a football fan who spends a lot of time on social media, you might be aware of what Bristol City unveiled earlier this season.
On a quiet Tuesday night in August during their 5-0 EFL Cup victory over Plymouth Argyle, the Robins debuted these.
Given that five different players scored that night fans were treated to five different – equally strange – goal celebration gifs.
But it turns out the weirdest was yet to come – and during City’s 4-1 comeback victory against Derby the Twitterverse was finally treated to it.
Here’s the club’s Bobby Reid being an absolute freak of the week.
No, we don’t know either – but that’s the 24-year-old swinging around a fire extinguisher to celebrate a goal.
Reid, who’s bagged six goals and an assist in eight Championship appearances this season, revealed to Bristol Sport he’d been filming new gifs, plural, so it’s not just Robins fans who will be hoping his hot streak continues.
But given Reid is the one in possession of the fire extinguisher, it’s not hard to picture him remaining on fire for a while yet.
