Watch: Belfast company's chainsaw tree sculpture is a cut above

By Cate McCurry

An unusual wooden sculpture has been turning heads at a Belfast business.

Using only a chainsaw, talented sculptor Owen Crawford transformed an old tree stump into a wooden statue outside the premises of advertising agency ASG and Partners.

'Hermes' - the messenger of gods - took just a day to create and now takes prominence on the Holywood Road. Vicki Caddy, PR director for ASG said: "Because we are a communications company we decided to use Hermes which was also used on our logo years ago.

"The end result is stunning. We couldn't believe that it was completed by chainsaw."
