22 killed in China house fire

Twenty two people died and three others were injured when a fire tore through a house in eastern China.

The fire broke out at about 4.30am in the two storey house in the city of Changshu in Jiangsu province, about 80km (50 miles) north west of Shanghai.

Officials said t he cause remains under investigation.

An earlier report by the official Xinhua News Agency said more than 20 people lived in the house.
