24 injured as Greyhound bus flips

About 24 people have been injured after a coach flipped on to its side in the US.

The incident involved a Greyhound bus bound for St Louis from New York City and it occurred in a rural area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The westbound bus had stopped in Philadelphia and was heading for another stop in Pittsburgh when it overturned at about 6am local time on Saturday.

A woman was briefly trapped in the wreckage before being freed by rescue crews.
