Belgium approves extradition of Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam
Belgian judicial authorities have approved in principle the extradition of Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam to France.
After two court sessions on Thursday, the federal prosecutor's office said in a statement that "the transfer is allowed", adding that French and Belgian authorities will "jointly discuss and decide on the further steps of the transfer".
The statement said Abdeslam gave the "clear consent" for the transfer.
Abdeslam was captured in a massive police raid in Brussels on March 18.
The terror attacks in Paris on November 13 left 130 people dead.
