Blasts rock Nigeria soccer centres

One person was killed and 11 others were wounded after bombs rocked three football viewing centres in the central city of Jos in Nigeria.

Plateau state spokesman Pam Ayuba said authorities suspect a radical Muslim sect locally known as Boko Haram who have launched similar simultaneous attacks in northern Nigeria.

Three bombs went off last night in three places where people had gathered to view a match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Ayuba said the blast in the Angwan Rukuba viewing centre killed a 35-year-old barber. He said a fourth bomb was found at one of the three viewing centres but was not detonated.
