Bomb attack kills seven in China

Seven people were killed in a bomb attack in China's far west Xinjiang region.

Another 14 were wounded in the attack in an area hit by ethnic conflict and separatist violence.

The blast came after a man of the region's native Uighur ethnic group drove a three-wheeled vehicle laden with explosives into a crowd of people in a suburb in Aksu city, said a local government official.

The injured man was captured immediately.

Some of the wounded were in serious condition.
