A roadside bomb in Afghanistan's east has killed 10 members of the Afghan Local Police force, officials said.

The government officials said the local police were killed in the Chak district of Wardak province while travelling in a pickup truck from a ceremony.

The Afghan Local Police are a government-sponsored militia force that works alongside the Afghan army and the national police.
