New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says that parents should have some choice when it comes to vaccinating their children in the wake of a measles outbreak in California.
Gov Christie disagreed with President Barack Obama, who in a Sunday interview urged all parents to vaccinate their kids.
The Republican governor, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, said that he and his wife vaccinated their children. But, he said, parents need to have some measure of choice as well.
Gov Christie made the comments while travelling in the United Kingdom on a foreign trade mission.
He also criticised President Obama as an "ineffective" negotiator on the world stage.
