Donald Trump's Inauguration will see Riverdance star Michael Flatley's dance troupe take to stage

Michael Flatley and his dance troupe are set to perform at Donald Trump's Inauguration.

The Riverdance star has been booked to perform at the Inauguration, a spokesman for the star has confirmed.

Michael Flatley and his dance troupe are set to participate in the Liberty Ball.

"Michael Flatley is on his way to Washington where his dance troupe will perform at the inauguration ceremony for US President-elect Donald Trump", a spokesman told RTE News.

It is not yet known whether the Riverdance legend will perform at the event with reports suggesting he will oversee the performance of his troupe.

The Lord of the Dance creator will join entertainers such as Travis Greene, Sam Moore and The Rockettes in performing for Trump.

The Chicago-born performer announced his retirement in March 2015, saying his body has taken a "severe beating" throughout his 20-year career.
