Dozens injured in train collision

Two passenger trains have crashed at a railway station in north-east China.

At least 24 people were injured when the trains collided on Thursday evening at the Jiamusi railway station in Heilongjiang province.

A railway spokesman in the provincial capital said most of those injured were preparing to get off a train when the other train collided into it, causing them to fall, reported the official Xinhua News Agency.

Five people were placed under medical observation but most of the injuries were minor. it added.
