Egypt presidential date announced

Egypt's ruling military has decided to hold presidential elections by November at the latest, the country's official news agency has reported.

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces said that presidential elections will take place one or two months after September's parliamentary contests.

The news came after the announcement of a new interim constitution to replaces Egypt's suspended constitution following the ending of president Hosni Mubarak's regime on February 11.
