Eight killed in Pakistan bus bomb

A bomb planted in a bus has killed at least eight people in Pakistan.

Police official Fazal Wahid Khan said seven people were also injured in the bombing, which occurred in the outskirts of the north-western city of Peshawar.

He said the bus was travelling from Peshawar to a nearby town.

Peshawar is the provincial capital of troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. Security forces have carried out several offensives against Pakistani Taliban and other militant groups there.
