Granny's ashes stolen after row

A man in the US has been charged with stealing a funeral urn containing the ashes of his girlfriend's grandmother.

Mark Kzakrzeski was carrying a pistol when he stole the urn during a row at the girlfriend's home. He told police he threw the ashes and urn in the woods.

They have still not been found.

Kzakrzeski, was charged with larceny and firearms offences following an argument with his ex, Danielle Pace, during which he stole the urn.

Pace said she was heartbroken about the missing urn -- which has not been recovered -- as she had planned to spread the ashes in Long Island, where her grandmother grew up.
