Gun suspect had restraining order
A man accused of killing three people and wounding four others at a US day spa had slashed his wife's tyres two weeks before the shooting.
Police Chief Dan Tushaus said at a news conference that the man's wife was an employee at the Wisconsin spa. It is not clear if she was among the victims.
The suspect, Radcliffe Franklin Haughton, was found dead inside the spa of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities said he had a four-year restraining order against him.
Officials described finding smoke inside the spa when they responded to reports of the shooting around 11am.
They initially believed an improvised explosive device was inside the building, but later said that was not the case.
US president Barack Obama spoke to officials in Wisconsin to express condolences for the victims.
The White House said Mr Obama told the officials that the people of Wisconsin were in his thoughts and prayers and those of first lady Michelle Obama.
