Heinrich Himmler's love letters published
A German newspaper has published a trove of letters which are believed to have been written by SS leader Heinrich Himmler.
It also showed pictures of Himmler and his family smiling during a fishing trip.
Die Welt quotes excerpts from Himmler's love letters, addressing his wife Marga as 'my sweet, beloved little woman'.
In a 1928 letter, Marga wrote to the architect of the Holocaust: 'I am so lucky to have such a good wicked husband, who loves his wicked wife so much.'
And in a July 1942 note to Marga, Himmler nonchalantly told her of a trip to a concentration camp: 'I am travelling to Auschwitz. Kisses. Your Heini.'
The paper said two US army soldiers found the trove right at the end of the war in May 1945.
