Filmmakers are reportedly seeking to recreate the scene in which the ‘star’ of Making a Murderer had his conviction overturned.
The story at the heart of the Netflix series took a shocking turn of events last week when Brendan Dassey’s life sentence was unexpectedly overturned.
The Milwaukee-based federal judge who deemed Dassey’s previous conviction as wrongful failed to alert both his family and Netflix to the updated ruling.
Dassey was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005.
The 26-year-old could leave jail in 90 days if prosecutors decide not to appeal the ruling.
