Israeli snatch squad officers infiltrate riot
An undercover Israeli snatch squad infiltrated Palestinian rioters yesterday in the West Bank.
IDF officers disguised as young Palestinians slipped into the riot and arrested three ringleaders after they hurled petrol bombs and rocks at Israeli forces.
The surprised Palestinians fled after they were caught unawares outside Ramallah when the Israelis in their midst drew their handguns.
There have been regular clashes there since US President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Yesterday, Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Palestinians to halt what he calls extremist statements and also recognise Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas told a summit of Muslim leaders in Turkey that the US is unfit to mediate Mideast peace talks. The statement marked a major policy shift after decades spent courting US goodwill.
