Ivory Coast hotel chief is dead
French hotel chain Accor SA says the manager of one of its hotels in Ivory Coast, who has been missing since he was kidnapped about two months ago, has been confirmed killed.
Accor chief executive Denis Hennequin said he was "deeply shaken and shocked by this revolting murder". Stephane Frantz di Rippel was general manager of the Novotel Abidjan at the time of his kidnapping.
Accor said it is still waiting for the results of the investigation concerning the three other hotel clients kidnapped with di Rippel, including another French citizen.
The four have been missing since April 4, when around a dozen armed gunmen entered the hotel and kidnapped the men.
