Marathon bomb trial sees backpack
Jurors in the trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been shown the tattered pieces of the backpack he used to carry a bomb in the deadly 2013 attack.
An FBI agent held up pieces of the black and white backpack. The agent says the pieces were found near the Forum restaurant, where Tsarnaev has admitted detonating a bomb on April 15, 2013.
Three people were killed and more than 260 injured when Tsarnaev and his brother set off two pressure cooker bombs near the marathon finish line.
The jury was also shown a mangled piece of a pressure cooker, BBs, chunks of metal and a piece of a fuse wire.
Tsarnaev's lawyers have admitted he participated in the bombing but say his brother was the mastermind.
