A woman who offered cash on Facebook for someone to kill the father of her child has been charged with trying to murder him.

London Ely ,20, from Philadelphia, said she would pay 1,000 dollars (£610) for the hit

Her message added: "I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father."

Police said 18-year-old Timothy Bynum offered to do the killing and Eley provided an address and description of her ex-boyfriend, who contacted police.

Officers who searched Bynum's home say they found a handgun.

Eley has been charged with solicitation to commit murder and Bynum with attempted murder and conspiracy.
