Netanyahu: Don't believe Rouhani
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed Iran's apparently softer line on nuclear issues as a trick.
He told the UN General Assembly Israel will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons, even if it stands alone, because its future is threatened by a "nuclear-armed'" Iran seeking its destruction.
He urged the international community to keep up sanctions pressure and said the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani's latest charm offensive is a ruse to get rid of biting sanctions while it continues to work toward a nuclear weapon.
The Israeli leader said all Iranian presidents serve same 'unforgiving regime' where the supreme leader dictates. He accused Mr Rouhani of masterminding a strategy to advance Iran's nuclear weapons program.
He also accused Iran of propping up a Syrian regime that massacres and uses chemical weapons against its own people.
