Nun on the run over suspected £2m will forgery

A senior nun accused of forging a £2million will has disappeared from her convent.

Mother Superior Angela Gramegna was left cash, shares and a flat by Francesca Di Cesare whom she befriended but Cesare’s family was left nothing.

Now police in Rome have launched an investigation after the family enlisted the help of a handwriting expert who questioned the authenticity of the signature on Cesare’s will, the Daily Mirror reports.

The nun is understood to have left the convent for Naples and the cash and shares have gone while the flat has been put up for sale.
