Police 'may have shot bus hostages'
Some victims in a botched hostage rescue may have been hit by police fire, investigators in the Philippines say.
Eight tourists from Hong Kong were killed after a sacked policeman hijacked their bus on August 23.
The hostage taker was killed when police stormed the bus.
Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said bullet trajectories and the hostages' wounds indicate some may have been hit by "friendly fire."
But she did not say whether those shots were fatal. Investigators will await a complete ballistics report before making conclusions.
Meanwhile, President Benigno Aquino says he did not plan to further apologise for the attack.
He said in a TV news conference that he will work on easing tensions with China.
