Radical right-wing thugs throw Ukrainian MP in the bin outside Kiev's parliament and threaten to set him on fire

Footage has emerged of a Ukrainian MP Vitaliy Zhuravskiy being thrown in to a bin by right-wing protesters.

Zhuravskiy can be seen wearing a suit and holding his briefcase as he’s ushered to the large refuse bins by a handful of men before being thrown in head first.

Reports say the MP was doused with an unknown liquid and was threatened with being set on fire.

The incident happened outside the building of the Ukrainian parliament in Kiev – Verkhovna Rada – with Mr Zhuravskiy stuck in the wheelie bin, while was also being angrily pushed in it by activists.

It is reported that many of the protesters were members of radical right-wing nationalist parties of Ukraine — Right Sector, Avtomaidan and Volya.

A second video shows the latter half of the incident where camouflaged police appear to come to his rescue as dozens of people jostle to film and photograph the melee.

Mr Zhuravskiy, a member of former President Viktor Yanukovich’s party, is understood not to have made a formal police complaint, according to local Ukrainian news reports.
