Referee attacked in shopping centre
International referee Pedro Proenca has been attacked while out shopping in Lisbon, Portuguese media has reported.
The Portuguese news agency Lusa said an individual struck Mr Proenca on the head while he was in a shopping centre, breaking two of his teeth.
Police reportedly arrested the attacker, and Mr Proenca later filed charges.
The 40-year-old referee was in charge of Porto's win over Guimaraes in the Portuguese Supercup earlier this week, and last season's Champions League semi-final between Manchester United and Schalke 04.
Mr Proenca was ranked as the number one referee in the Portuguese league by the country's football federation last season.
