Seven killed in Afghan mosque blast

At least seven - including two police officers - have died in a suicide bombing that hit worshippers exiting a mosque in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province.

Police spokesman Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai said the bomber set off his explosives as worshippers were congratulating each other after prayers as part of the Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice, early on Sunday morning.

Kamen Khan, the police chief in Old Baghlan city, said those killed included a well-known police commander and another local officer.

At least 18 people were injured.
