SpaceX rocket explosion costs millions
A SpaceX rocket that exploded on its launchpad caused hundreds of millions of dollars of damage and left people thinking nearby buildings were about to collapse.
The explosion destroyed the Falcon 9 rocket that was being re-used after it successfully landed back on Earth, SpaceX has confirmed.
It also destroyed the payload that the rocket had been due to carry into space yesterday - that has been valued at hundreds of millions of dollars and includes Facebook's first satellite.
The blast had shook buildings for miles around and had left some people fearing that the structures may collapse. Multiple explosions sent a thick plume of smoke through the air, and it was carried across Cape Canaveral.
