Students killed in Malaysia attack

Two British medical students have been stabbed to death in Malaysia after a quarrel with four local men.

Malaysia's The Star newspaper said the two students were found lying in the road early today with stab wounds in the back and chest.

It quoted police as saying the students and four suspects began quarrelling in a pub in Kuching on Borneo island.

The suspects are then reported to have followed the students when they left the pub and attacked them.

Sarawak police said they have arrested three of the suspects and are searching for the fourth.

Newcastle University in England identified the students as Neil Dalton and Aidan Brunger.

Officials said they were working on a six-week placement in a hospital in Kuching.
