Three die in Pakistan drone attack

A suspected US drone has fired two missiles at a house in north-west Pakistan, killing three alleged militants.

Officials said the attack occurred early on Friday morning in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal area, a key sanctuary for Taliban and al Qaida militants.

Four suspected militants were also wounded, and foreigners were believed to be among the group hit.

The strike will likely exacerbate tensions with Pakistan at a time when the country's parliament is debating a resolution demanding an end to US drone attacks in the country.
