Three killed in Denmark flats blast

Three people have died in a fire and explosion in an apartment in Copenhagen.

Police spokesman Lau Thygesen said two men aged 38 and 39, and a 34-year-old woman, were killed by an explosion in an apartment in the Fredriksberg area of Copenhagen.

Mr Thygesen said police suspect a crime could be behind the incident, but said there was no indication the event would be part of any larger conspiracy.

He said the three people killed were related to each other. Two were Danish citizens while the third person's nationality has not been confirmed.
