Turkish jets bomb Iraq rebel bases
Turkish jets have bombed suspected Kurdish rebel bases in neighbouring northern Iraq, according to news reports in Turkey.
The NTV news channel said some 15 warplanes took off from a Turkish base to strike at bases from where rebels of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, launch attacks on Turkish targets.
CNN-Turk television said Turkish F-16s were involved in the raids.
There has been no immediate official confirmation.
